First off I would like to welcome everyone to this new blog. I would like to use this blog to spearhead some discussions on the evolution of IT practices and how tools and model driven approach can be used in a pragmatic fashion to help both developers and management achieve better productivity, be more nimble and reduce risk in projects.
As the CTO of Castor Technologies, these are questions that we are trying to address every day as we are always looking for ways to use our tools and technology to better address the real needs of the IT marketplace out there.
Like I said, we are big on the model driven approach, and to this end we are even active participants in the OMG and specifically the "Architecture Driven Modernization Task Force" which has already put in place a fantastic model specification to represent software systems, called the KDM. I invite all of you to go and check it out. For us, this is the heart of our tool suite, so we are indeed very excited about this new standard.
